Interactive Video Wall Installation with Tablet

With the work we did for the Open Innovations Exhibition in October still in the back of their heads, the Moscow City Government hired us again to create an exceptional visual presentation – this time for the Moscow Urban Forum, which was held in the beginning of December. Following the forum’s motto Megacities: Success Beyond the Centre, the City used this event to introduce three urban development projects located at Zelenograd, Yuzhni Port and the Southern Industrial Sector.
We created a 3D real-time presentation on a 2 by 12 display video wall, which was turned into a giant touch screen through a rotation laser device. The content was partitioned into three individual sections, each of which featured one of the three projects. Information that concerned all projects alike could also be displayed across the entire video wall. In addition to the rotation laser, we equipped the staff with tablets featuring a custom app to navigate through the content.
In terms of design we followed the pattern that was established in the previous installation for the Moscow City Government, which focused on the Yuzhni Port project. We combined 3D models with images and filmed material, showing different development stages, plans for transportation and living as well as the city’s strategy for green spaces and parks.
The Moscow Urban Forum was very busy and many industry leaders and government officials stopped by to learn about the three projects through our installation. Once again, the Moscow City Government was one happy customer.
